Alicante

The city

Located in the south of Valencia Community, the city of Alicante is in the centre of the bay of the same name, limited by the capes of La Huerta to the north and Santa Pola to the south. With 315,000 inhabitants and a municipal area of 201.3 km2, it is the second-largest city in Valencia Community and the capital of the province of the same name, a city focused on the industrial, commercial and service sectors.

Being a city bathed by the Mediterranean gives it a privileged climate characterised by mild winters and hot summers with an average annual temperature of over 18ºC and nearly 3,000 hours of sun a year.

Alicante is undoubtedly a clear exponent of a Mediterranean city, with a vitality that marks the character of its inhabitants always open to visitors, who never feel foreign there.
